Maroochydore - Mooloolaba Road and Ocean Street, improve intersection
Construction is complete for safer pedestrian crossings in Maroochydore's entertainment precinct.
The project has improved pedestrian safety by installing new pedestrian facilities to provide safer crossing points along this busy section of the network. Pedestrians can now more safely access nearby shopping, hospitality, and education precincts.
The left-turn slip lanes have been removed and traffic signals have been modified to accommodate motorists turning left, in and out of Ocean Street. Additional fencing on the median strip has been installed to encourage the use of dedicated pedestrian crossings.
Minor pedestrian safety improvements were completed at the Maroochydore Road and Church Street intersection, west of this work site.
