Kingston train station upgrade

Kingston train station is being upgraded to improve accessibility, safety and customer experience for the community.

The new train station will feature a range of improvements to make travel easier, including straightened and raised platforms, increased platform coverage, new lifts and improved park ‘n’ ride facilities.

The upgraded Kingston train station will better integrate with the Kingston Butter Factory Precinct, an important historical community and cultural hub, with an improved entry and bus stops on Milky Way.

As part of this project, the existing Kingston Road road-over-rail bridge will also be upgraded to accommodate the wider rail corridor underneath.

This station upgrade will be designed and constructed in compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) to provide and improve accessibility for all users.
