Glass House Mountains Road (Steve Irwin Way) and Caloundra Street intersection upgrade

The department will deliver a new signalised intersection on Glass House Mountains Road, known locally as Steve Irwin Way, at Caloundra Street, Landsborough.

The Glass House Mountains Road (Steve Irwin Way) and Caloundra Street, Landsborough, upgrade intersection project will: 

  • provide traffic signals
  • modify the intersection's lane configuration and storage lengths
  • provide signalised pedestrian crossings.

Detailed design has started and is expected to be completed late 2023.
